How do I pay an invoice?

If your payment is insufficient, the invoice will show both the amount of cryptocurrency you sent, and the amount still left to pay. Simply make the second transaction to cover the remaining amount before the invoice expires. Once you make a second payment, your transaction will be confirmed. You will see a confirmation window with your Transaction IDs on the invoice. If the invoice expires, a refund form will show up. Once it does, fill in the necessary details and request a refund. Refunds are processed within 48 hours.

I paid too little. What now?

If you have paid too much, the invoice will automatically present a refund form after the system approves the payment. Keep the invoice window open until the refund form shows up.

I paid too much. What should I do?

If the invoice is paid after it was canceled or expired, a refund form should pop up on the invoice shortly. If payment has been paid in full, you can mark the 'Accept Payment' checkbox on the refund form, and we will make every attempt to process this payment. However, it may not be possible, and a refund may be processed instead.

LN transactions cost nearly nothing and allow sending the tiniest fractions of Bitcoin.

What's a Lightning Network?

We do not recommend sending transactions from crypto exchanges or web wallets, as such transactions might arrive after a significant delay. Also, exchanges tend to charge a fee deducted from the sent amount. As a result, transactions often arrive too late (when the invoice has already expired) and/or are not paid in full (so the invoice becomes underpaid). That is why we recommend using one of many open-source wallets, where the sender controls the exact amount sent and the waiting time is predictable. Furthermore, you do not control your crypto when using an exchange, so you introduce counterparty risk and thus negate one of the main benefits of cryptocurrencies, which is complete control of your own money.
